WONDERLAND OF LIGHTS DAY PASSES NOW AVAILABLE
New package allows unlimited skating, tubing and no waiting in lines
MARSHALL, TX – November 1, 2011 – With more than 125,000 visitors expected to attend this year’s Wonderland of Lights Festival between November 23 and January 1, organizers have announced a new way to play at the annual holiday tradition. Between now and November 22, the public can purchase a $25 unlimited day pass to Wonderland of Lights attractions including ice skating at the Samsung Rinks, rides on the double-decker English bus, Marshall Express train, Toboggan Mountain, world’s largest rocking horse and a photo at the Capital One Snow Globe. Plus, day-pass holders will enjoy a priority “boarding-pass” which greatly reduces waiting times in line. Advance sales of the Wonderland Day Pass are on sale now at www.VisitMarshallTexas.org and are valid for any day during the 40-day festival. The passes may also be purchased in person at the offices of the Marshall Convention & Visitors Bureau, 213 West Austin. However, festival organizers remind the public that they must be bought prior to November 22. There is no limit to the amount of days or passes that may be purchased. “The 25th anniversary of the Wonderland of Lights Festival is going to be awesome,” according to John Arend, president of Z Group Communications, co-producer of the festival. “We listened to the public and are happy to provide this option which represents a daily retail value of $100 per person.” The Wonderland of Lights Festival kicks off in just three weeks and festival organizers are busy preparing for the largest crowds in decades. On opening night alone, November 23, the festivities will be televised live to more than 100,000 people on all major networks. Admission to the festival is free, which includes the Wonderland Experience synchronized light shows at the historic courthouse, Santa’s Workshop, Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen and twice-nightly live shows on Telegraph Park stage. In addition, there will be more than 750 different ticketed attractions ranging in price from $3 for rides on the Marshall Express Trackless Train to $15 for an all-day bracelet at the Wonderland Toboggan Mountain.
